Last month, Stacey and I had an opportunity to attend one of the premiere Keller Williams coaching and training classes called BOLD (Business Objectives, a Life by Design).  The 8 week course’s core purpose is to help Keller William’s agents, enhance their knowledge, learn new skills, and to provide clarity and focus to the importance of our mindset.  We learned what we call “BOLD Laws”, or principles that help guide us.  Some of my favorites are:
  • Come from Contribution.
  • Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.
  • What you focus on expands.
One of the most impactful lessons of the class was a week focused on gratitude.  I find that I tend to say things like “thank you” frequently; however, taking a moment to tell someone that I am deeply grateful for them or something they did was not part of my normal routine.  For me, showing gratitude ended up being  touching, rewarding, freeing, uplifting, and  FUN!  So as we ease into summer I ask you, has someone played a role in your life that you are grateful for?  Maybe it was a single moment or event that had a profound effect on your life and it turned out to be life-changing? Let them know how grateful you are for what they did or said. What about just telling your loved ones, such as a spouse, parent, or child that you are grateful to have them in your life?  Take a moment today, this week, or this summer to tell at least 5 people you are grateful for them.  It sounds like such a small thing, but it can have such a huge effect.

Expressing gratitude is powerful and can truly be life-altering. Everyday we get to help clients build wealth through real estate, and I’m so grateful to have that opportunity.  I enjoy getting to know each person and helping them achieve their dreams.  A house is not only the biggest financial investment most of us will make, it is also a HOME where we experience life, gather with friends, and get to own our own piece of the world.
